Edinburgh’s DELTA MAINLINE return for their third appearance at Limbo on Saturday 10th November – also the club’s Fifth Birthday Party – having wowed the crowd on two previous occasions, channelling all the legends of early rock n roll and blues via more recent behemoths such as The Verve and Primal Scream.
This date sees the band preview material from their upcoming debut album (recorded at Glasgow’s legendary Chem 19 Studios), which is due out in Spring 2013 via UK label Rehab Sound Productions and Halcyon Records in North America. And, if there’s any justice in the world, it will soon be their oyster, as people turn on, tune in and flip out to Delta Mainline’s acid-soaked, reverb-heavy, soulful sounds.
‘One of the best live bands I’ve seen this year…’ (Jim Gellatly, The Sun / Clyde 1)
‘Psychedelic rockers rise above their peers, quality songs that live up to the hype’ (The Scotsman)
Support comes from ZED PENGUIN, making a second appearance at Limbo, now backed by a drummer and bassist, and buzzing new Edinburgh trio WHITE LIGHTNIN’.
All told, it’s a bill that demands you lock up your sons and daughters, before setting the controls for the heart of the sun!
The Black Spring DJs will be joining the dots before, between and after the bands as usual.
