Conquering Animal Sound Live at Limbo
Superlative Scottish electronica duo Conquering Animal Sound return to Limbo on Saturday 9th March to mark the launch of their second album, On Floating Bodies (due out in March via revered indie label Chemikal Underground), after Europe lapped up their debut, Kammerspiel, so appreciatively in 2011.
Comprising Anneke Kampman and James Scott, both residents of Glasgow, CAS’s brand of pop (and it is pop, make no mistake) is rendered through a kaleidoscope of clicks, tape hiss, synths and a myriad of micro-electronica to produce something that’s bewitching and entirely immersive.

First support comes from genius Perth experimental/electronica duo Pumajaw, who have been touring the globe for over a decade now and wowed Limbo twice before with their equally avant garde take on pop music, dazzling media critics right across the board, from The Wire and Uncut to Marie Claire. This date follows the release of their new album, Demonmeowmeow, with the duo embarking on a fresh European tour of their own in April.
Edinburgh soloist Plum completes the package, her own take on electronic pop drawing a comparison to Nikki & The Dove and The Knife for her from Scottish new music champion Ally McCrae (BBC Radio 1). Plum released her own fourth album, The Seed, last year.
The Black Spring DJs will be joining the dots before, between and after the bands as usual.
