THE PINEAPPLE CHUNKS are one of the hippest, spiciest components of Edinburgh’s ‘whiny indie’ scene. Beware the new, and indeed, only album, ‘A DOG WALKED IN’, due for release in early March 2011. They generally generate favourable reviews in the sympathetic, mutually masturbatory Edinburghian bubble, and have been described as ‘bloody good’ (Song, by Toad), ‘absolutely brilliant’ (Hamish Brown, The List) and ‘[not] lightweight’ (Neil Cooper, The List (in a favourable comparison to a live Huey Lewis and the news DVD)).
