TYSN are an experimental indie pop band from Edinburgh consisting of Niall MacGalloway, Rea the Bass Player and Alex Hendrikson. They have been described as continuing the Scottish tradition of making intelligent and melodic pop music, but they think they’re louder than that. Interests include Foucault, public transportation and making a lot of noise.
‘What a lovely polite bunch Thank You So Nice sound. Their tracks do too you’ll be glad to know’ (Kowalskiy)
‘Given what seems to be a growing resurgence of guitar music on the east coast, Thank You So Nice fit neatly with the likes of Morris Major and The Spook School in delivering clever pop music, big on melodies and bursting with enthusiasm’ (Songs Heard on Fast Trains)
‘You could say it’s the pop tune Dear Catastrophe Waitress-era Belle and Sebastian would’ve written had they owned distortion pedals’ (Peenko)
‘Like a refreshingly zingy sorbet before a meaty main course, this digital single is sweet, simple and just enough to whet the appetite for what will hopefully be a tasty main album, Make Friends Not Money out later this year’ (STV)
‘Guitar solos are not so much complex lyrical meanderings as an assault on the instrument’ (Limbo)
