Hailing from four corners of Scotland, Run Lucky Free are storming the Scottish music scene with their unique melodic indie rock tunes.
After meeting in 2008, the quartet spent a few years writing and performing together honing their sound leading up to the release of their debut EP Denim Skyes in late 2010. With Rachael Cormack’s crystal-clear vocals, Daniel Crichton’s accomplished guitar and a powerful rhythm section provided by Fergus Costello on drums and Sam Dick on bass, the band’s genre-straddling sound has a wide and commercial appeal.
Tipped in 2010 as ‘One To Watch’ by Edinburgh radio station Forth One, Run Lucky Free have shared the stage with Pearl And The Puppets, Sandi Thom and Tango in the Attic; and they have played venues across Scotland, including Edinburgh’s HMV Picture House and Glasgow’s renowned King Tut’s.
On October 3rd 2011, Run Lucky Free release their new single, The Factory. Recorded at Edinburgh’s Castlesound Studios, used in the past by REM, Mark Knopfler, and Simple Minds, the single captures all the beauty of the band’s unique and appealing sound.
